Christine Worrell M.A., Registered Psychotherapist
Christine is Registered Psychotherapist with the In Focus team. She attended the University of Colorado – Boulder earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1995 then moved back to her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. After working with high risk adolescents in a variety of settings, she decided to pursue her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Northwestern University (earned in 2000), during which time she worked with young adults and older adults in academic and in-patient settings. Life took her in a different direction back to the beautiful Denver area where she chose to develop a career in small business management and eventually became a full time parent to her son and daughter.
Christine always pursued learning more about therapy, self-care, yoga, meditation, and other mindfulness avenues hoping one day she would be able to incorporate those beliefs with her clinical training in a healing counseling practice. She will help individuals who are struggling with finding happiness and purpose in their lives; who feel anxiety, depression, stress, and other personal challenges are holding them back, keeping them awake at night, limiting their ability to experience love, joy and success! It is her goal to help clients develop skills to manage the difficult periods and gain self-confidence by utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy and relational therapy. Time in counseling will help you explore ways you can make positive, healthy changes based on your values, hopes and dreams. Take control – be empowered – learn to live in the present moment and enjoy all life has to offer!!
Christine will be starting her training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for treatment of OCD.
