Dr. Ken Adler is a clinical intern presently completing a Master’s degree program at Argosy University in Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Adler’s interests are with helping individuals, families, teens, substance abuse, PTSD, veterans, and sexual issues, bringing virtually a lifetime of experience from medicine, surgery, coaching, hypnotherapy, and most recently, his extensive training in therapy and counseling. His approach is to carefully listen and evaluate issues and help co-create with the patient a workable plan to make changes in their lives.

Dr. Adler’s path started when he was trained in Italy at the University of Rome School of Medicine and Surgery, went on to do an internship and Residency in trauma and Orthopedic Surgery at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and at Harvard University, in Boston Massachusetts. He practiced Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery in the Denver-Metro area for 23 years, and retired. After which he missed patient care and helping people improve their lives, and began studying psychology, hypnosis, many evidence-based systemic approaches, Voice Dialogue, and other forms of therapy. He became a personal life coach, working with individuals, families, couples, and GLBT couples. He has over 20 years’ experience leading Men’s groups, and has started and has started and led several Women’s groups. At one point, he became the director of the Boulder Sensory Learning Institute, treating Autism in children. With a lifetime of experience and a passion for being with people who are struggling, Dr. Adler is excited to find his place in the therapeutic world and to collaborate with his clients to find helpful solutions. As a male psychotherapist, Dr. Adler understand special issues that men face and is experienced in getting them to move beyond their pain into wholehearted living.
